Shipping policy

1. Processing Time 

All orders are handcrafted and packaged in our studio.

  • Ready-to-Ship Items: Please allow [2–4] business days for your order to be processed and dropped at the carrier.

  • Made-to-Order Items: If an item is listed as "made-to-order," please allow [1–2] weeks for production before shipping.

  • Note: Business days do not include weekends or holidays.

2. Shipping Rates & Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Standard Shipping: Usually arrives in [3–7] business days.

  • Expedited Shipping: Usually arrives in [1–3] business days.

  • Please note that delivery dates are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.

3. Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become active.

4. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Sami Jo Jewelry is not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address entered for an order.

  • If your tracking info shows "Delivered" but you haven't received it, please contact your local post office or carrier.

  • If your item arrives damaged, please refer to our Return Policy and contact us within [5] days of delivery with photos of the packaging and product.

5. Incorrect Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the buyer. If a package is "Returned to Sender," the buyer is responsible for any additional shipping costs to resend the item.

International Shipping Policy (FedEx & USPS)

1. Shipping Options

  • USPS International: Generally the most cost-effective for small items. Tracking may vary once the package leaves the US, depending on the destination country's local postal service.

  • FedEx International: Faster and offers door-to-door tracking. Note: FedEx often charges a "Brokerage/Disbursement Fee" in addition to government taxes to expedite customs clearance.

2. Duties, Taxes & Carrier Fees

All international orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). By purchasing from Sami Jo Jewelry, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Import Fees: You are responsible for all VAT, tariff, and import duties assessed by your local government.

  • Carrier Fees: If shipping via FedEx, you may be charged an additional "Advancement" or "Clearance" fee by FedEx for their brokerage services. These fees are separate from shipping costs and are billed directly to you by the carrier.

  • Payment: Your package will not be released until all government and carrier fees are paid.

3. Refused Packages

If you refuse a package to avoid paying these fees, the package may be abandoned by the carrier or returned to us.

  • No Refunds: Because we are a small shop with a Final Sale policy, we do not issue refunds for abandoned or refused international packages.

  • Return Costs: If the package is returned to us, any return shipping fees or storage fees charged to us by FedEx/USPS will be deducted from any potential store credit.
